The installations are photographic portraits that are visually embedded into tile-like artworks.
With the creation of new floors and walls,the locations I work within are partially or completely renovated. By turning the place I am working into a white cube,I
aim to flatten both the space and all value attributed to it. By excluding its history, I try to create a place that is outside of physical space and time.
Embossed photo paper containing the image of black tiles are carefully embedded into a particular part of the room. A portion of these tiles contain the subtle
image of a parson. This person,who is in some way closely linked to the history of that space,Iooks out at the viewer. They now exist solely in their reflection.
